Today I am grateful for my hands. They really are amazing. Jared and I worked out in the garden after church today, we were cleaning it up and winterizing as well as planting the free tree that we got from SMUD. It was fun to be out working with my hands, with my hubby and just getting dirty and working hard. I scrubbed my hands hard and got all the dirt off. How remarkable and strong they are.
Then I came inside and I started making rolls (delicious rolls I may add!). As I was washing the dough off my hands I just stared at my hands and fingers. These hands can work, they can knead dough, they can softly brush tears off Christian's face, they can massage Jared's back, they can put on makeup, or control the vacuum as I cleaned up Christian's spilled snacks. They can pray and read the scriptures. They can type my thoughts out using the written word. It's incredible really, how capable they are; how much I use them for, and for so many different things!
Today I am grateful for my hands.
