Just when you thought....

Just when you thought that life sucks and there is no end in sight to the awful misery that you find yourself surrounded by (not really, but I like being a tad dramatic, so don't judge me!), something amazing happens that helps you remember that life is good, God cares about you and people are wonderful!

My family has started a new tradition of getting together every other Thanksgiving down in SoCal. We eat turkey and then the next day, go to Disneyland! What could be better than that? NOTHING!

This year, things are tight for Jared and I; having a kid really does a number on your pocketbook. So we were pretty much set on not being able to go. I mean, don't get me wrong, we could go, but it just seemed like a frivilous thing and when we are working so hard to live within our means and save...it just didn't seem like a good idea. One of my co-workers found out that we wanted to go, but probably couldn't and he has offered to pay for us to go as an early Christmas present! Can you believe that!? What a generous, generous person. I am completely humbled by his willingness to step in and give us a gift that we didn't even ask for.

Today is a great day. :)
