7 Month Update

Can you believe it's been another month!? I know I can't. I feel like every day is a complete blur, but coming home to Christian every night is like a shining light in my day. He is the sweetest little boy. Quick to smile. Happy to play and be held. He is the joy of my life! I am trying to think of what he's done new this month. He has gotten a little better about being on his hands and knees and rocking a bit like he is going to crawl and then...BAM face first into the ground! I think the sheer weight of his head just pulls him forward. He is getting even stronger and can now pull himself to a standing position if he is sitting. He is learning to"high five", although that pretty much means we say, "High Five!" and he put's his hand on ours and starts to giggle. The little chunk-a-monk is over 20lbs now and solid as a rock. He talks in baby babble a lot also, and has started making the "mmmmm" noise, so I am pushing for a "MAMA!" soon :) His Aby (Jared's mom) has also taught him how to blow raspberries which is soooo cute, but not so convenient when I am trying to feed him baby food!

Here's my little man at Grandma's house on Sunday. My little sister Brooke is taking the photo so I am sure that's why he is smirking at her.
Don't you love how long his legs are!?
This one is super cute. He REFUSED to go down for a nap on Saturday, and being the oh-so-lenient mom that I am, I decided to just sit him on my bed with a stuffed animal and a blanket to play. 5 minutes later, I found him collapsed using the dog as his pillow. Precious!

These next pictures are from my favorite time of day....BATH TIME! Jared decided that it was time to give him a soap beard and if I do say so myself, he looks good with it!

Here he is reaching for the camera with his mischievous smile.
Yes, I think he's trying to eat the bubbles :)
My bubba all wrapped up after bath time
Here he is playing hide and go seek!

In other news, we love our new ward - which has two of my dearest friends in it and I was recently called to be the Laurel Advisor, so I am looking forward to teaching again. Not that it's been that long since I was in Young Women's...but it was nice to have a month off ;) All in all this month has been wonderful. Jared and I have been really busy, but extremely happy. I meant it when I said that all of my days are running together, but it's a good tired, for the most part. Jared and I are currently training for a 5k in November, so wish me luck! It's been a while since I have done any type of jogging, but I am so grateful that I have a sweet hubby who will run at my pace and keep me company.

  1. Wow, so many awesome things! I'm excited that you're going to be running 5K :) and It's seriously your time of life to be in Young Women's! There is obviously a huge calling there for you to serve the youth of the church. How awesome is that? I loved being in YW! Can't wait to see your new place :) -Steph
