Okay, okay. I know that I am like 9 months behind on this post, but in my defense...KIDS. I actually started writing this post like 6 months ago and apparently never finished. Here it is for your viewing pleasure:
Trimester 1 is over for my kindergartner and I just had my first real parent-teacher conference, and it has prompted me to make this post. First, let's do some review. Christian is a smart cookie. He is smart and detail-oriented and likes to ask LOTS of questions. Here is CJ in Preschool.
What a cutie! Am I right!?
Here he is on his last day of Preschool.
And here is the side by side comparison from the first day of preschool to the first day of kindergarten.
It's amazing how quickly time is going, and I know how cliche that sounds. It's like I have blinked and my baby became a toddler and now a little boy. As of today, Christian has lost 5 teeth. FIVE. And he is only 5! How is that possible? His favorite food is ice cream sandwiches. His least favorite is tomatoes...it runs in the family. He loves to play with dinosaurs and is currently begging me for the Lego Indominous Breakout set. Today, at parent teacher conference, his teacher Ms. Heu talked about how BUSY Christian is. How much he talks. He much he moves. That even when he is asked to stop talking, he keeps mumbling and making weird noises. lol This is SO HIM. He can't seem to sit still or be quiet to save his life! I am not complaining though because even though he is busy and kinda crazy, he is still kind, focused and hard working.
Ms. Heu also told us that Christian is the top of his class. That she calls on him to model to the other kids what to do. That she was "blown away" by his state testing scores. He was the only one in his class who qualified for Honor Roll. I know it is kindergarten, but I am just SO PROUD of him. He is a hard worker and has an inquisitive mind and I am very grateful for him. Because despite all of his book smarts, he is still a sweet and obedient kid. Way to go CJ. We love you!
