This is the first of three different posts about Halloween! It seems a little overwhelming, I know, but at the same time, we had a great Halloween and I was good and took LOTS of pictures, so I want to be sure to write down what we did and how much fun we had :)
This is the first Halloween in years where I actually did "Halloween Stuff", and I had a blast! Our first stop was to Bishop's Pumpkin Farm. This was the pumpkin patch that Jared went to growing up, and I had never actually been there. It is way out in the middle of nowhere, so I am not sure that we will make it an annual trip, but it was a lot of fun to take Christian there for his first pumpkin patch!
| Here we are at the entrance to the patch. Christian would not look in my direction no matter what I did! Too many cool things to look at, I guess. |
| My little man, taking it all in |
| After just a few short minutes, Christian was elected to Mayor of the farm...and became a goat. It was all very exciting! |
| I loved this little goat - he had craaaaazy eyes. |
| So, turns out, my son is actually a goat whisperer. We took him into the little petting zoo, with no food or anything, and there was one goat there, not paying Christian any attention. The other goats were busy running away from all the little kids in the pen. It look about 45 seconds and then all of a sudden, Christian was surrounded by 5 or 6 goats all trying to smell him! |
| My sweet baby :) |
| The handsome hubby! We are riding on the hay ride out to the pumpkins! |
| Christian's first pumpkin! |
| Jared is busy searching for the best pumpkin in the patch! |
| It was so bright that Christian kept hiding his face - I took advantage of the cuddling :) |
| Christian's new favorite place is sitting on his Dad's shoulders. |
| Here we are riding back - and yes, that is a tractor pulling us! |
| Christian is at such a curious age. We sat him on this pumpkin hoping to get a good shot, but he was way too interested in what he was sitting on. |
Yes, Christian is using Jared's hair as "reins" to hold himself upright.
The next couple of shots are actually of Jared tossing Christian in the air and I had the camera on rapid flash and got a couple of good shots :) |
| Do you see the absolute JOY on his face!? He loves his daddy. |
And now...he's all tuckered out.
What a great time we had at Bishop's Pumpkin Farm! |
OMG he's hardly a baby any more! Look at him turning into a toddler. I <3 his face in all of these! Sitting on daddy's shoulders has got to be the best vantage point ever ;)
