Well hello, old friend!

Have I mentioned how much I loooooooove summer time!? Because I do! Let me just tell you, we have started out with a bang, and I cannot wait for all of the fun things we have planned in July. June was a very busy month though, and July promises to be just as busy! My older sister Beth is FINALLY getting married (in Lake Tahoe, no less! woohoo!!!) so there will be all sorts of fun and shenanigans associated with that, I am sure. Any way, here is what we have been up to lately:

I helped Jared celebrate his first Father's Day! Being the wonderful wife that I am, I made him breakfast in bed! Yep folks, that's right, this girl right here heated up cold pizza and made juice from a frozen pouch-thing and brought it to him in bed : ) Don't be jealous of my mad skills. In all honesty, I know he loves pizza, especially for breakfast, so it really wasn't as ghetto as it sounds. When I walked in, he thought the crust was toast and was prepared for a more traditional breakfast. But no-sir-ee, not this girl. He laughed and happily started in on his breakfast. I also made a really cool Father's Day card with some of our favorite pictures over the last few years, that was a hit! To top it all off, I arranged a massage for him from our favorite masseuse, my sister in law Jamie :)

We then went to celebrate Father's Day with my dad. BBQ ribs, corn on the cob, watermelon, baked beans and green salad were on the menu. To top it off, I made a yummy chocolate pudding cake with vanilla ice cream. YUM!

Once we were finished at my parent's house, we headed up the hill to visit the grave of Jared's Father, Crandon. Jared felt like taking Christian to meet his Dad on Father's Day was the perfect time. It was a beautiful day.

Christian is getting so big...and CHUBBY! :) It takes everything I have not to squeeze his pudgy little legs all the time. He has successfully learned how to roll from his stomach to his back and we are working on getting him to roll the other way around. He is also starting to scoot around on his back by pushing with his legs. It's leading to an AMAZING bald spot on the back of his head. He is pretty much an all-star when it comes to lifting his head and sitting himself up, or even standing up when he holds on to us. Jared also gave him his first haircut today! Basically, he thinks he's a teenager and big enough to be on his own. ; )

Another thing we discovered was that our camera can do these crazy panoramic shots! So you can take three separate pictures and then "stitch" them together. I had a lot of fun with that while I was waiting for Jared to do a bride's hair. (Which turned out beautifully by the way, I wish I would have taken pictures.) Here is one of the three of us - we are still learning to use the camera, as you can see by the almost straight line up of the chair, etc...

Okay, and here's the fun that I was having with the camera! You can do it so it looks like you are in one of those photo booths. AMAZING!
