My life is a blur

Remember how I was going to post 20 week pictures? Yup. I took them and have yet to download them from my camera. Whoops. Since I am 26 weeks now, I really feel like this is an utter fail. I remember when my brain used to work and when going to the movies with my hubby didn't take 3-4 weeks to plan and actually execute. Ahhh yes, those were the days!

For those of you who are wondering, things are busy, but really good. Jared's business is slowly picking up at his new salon in Granite Bay which makes me VERY happy. He is working long hours though, so that is hard on everyone. Right now my days are a constant blur. I get up, go to work, pick up Christian, make dinner, clean up dinner, give him a bath, get him ready for bed and hopefully by then Jared is home and we all go to bed. Awesome. Add in friends, family, and a crazy calling at church and being 6 months pregnant and you are starting to get the idea ;)

I can't say I am not extremely grateful though. I am. I am so glad that things are working out with Jared's business. I am so happy to be a mom and to spend so much time with Christian. I love that we are going to have a new little GIRL in our family soon. Things are good...just busy...and exhausting.

Some new happenings in our world:

Christian will be 2 on Friday. I have already heard three times so far this week (and it's only Wednesday!), "How old is he?"..."Almost 2." "Wow. He is a REALLY big 2". Yes, yes, I know. Love my little bean though. He is so much fun. He is getting really independent. Everytime I try to help him with something, his response is, "I do this." He is full of light and joy though - I swear, he is just such an easy-going kid and I am SO HAPPY ABOUT THAT! He is getting more coordinated, but he still falls a lot. His feet are way too big and I think he's still learning to work around that. He's in a size 9. Crazy, right?

Little girl is growing! In the last ultrasound, they estimated her to be about 1lb 12 oz. She is on her way! We don't have any names picked out. Well, that's not true, we have LOTS of names picked out, just none that Jared and I can agree on! We are "taking a break" from the name game, so that hopefully we can come back to it and be more willing to compromise ;) It'll be a last minute decision, I am sure. As some of you may have seen, they did find what could be a problem with her heart when they did the fetal echocardiogram. From what the doctor could see, she only had 2 valves in her aorta instead of 3. They'll do another echo once she's here to confirm and we'll go from there! She loves to kick me. I have major heartburn. My hair has gotten REALLY curly. I am starting to swell like a balloon. All in all, things are awesome though. I am so happy to be expanding our family!

We should be homeowners (assuming this all works out) within a couple of weeks! I am really excited about that, and kind of freaking out; it seems like such an adult decision. I can't wait to make this little home our own. Brooke has already moved out, so that has freed up quite a bit of space. The nursery is in progress, and I can't wait to put the finishing touches on it! Oh, and did I mention we bought new couches??? I am in heaven! We got a regular couch and then an oversized recliner which is basically my best friend ever. Think mini loveseat - it's huge! It should be perfect to nurse a baby and still have room for Christian to sit by me if he gets needy.

There's my update. I hope to be able to post some pictures soon! Hopefully I remember by the time I get home :)
